Narendra Modi to Take Oath as Prime Minister for Third Term on June 9

Senior BJP leader Pralhad Joshi has confirmed that Narendra Modi will be sworn in as the Prime Minister of India for the third time on Sunday, June 9. The oath-taking ceremony is scheduled to take place at 6 pm on June 9, as announced during the NDA parliamentary party meeting held at the Central Hall of the old Parliament building.

During the meeting, which was attended by senior alliance leaders and NDA MPs, BJP president J P Nadda is expected to propose a resolution in support of Modi’s leadership. It is anticipated that allies and MPs will endorse this resolution.

Notable NDA leaders present at the meeting included Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, Anupriya Patel, and Pawan Kalyan. The NDA, boasting 293 MPs, comfortably surpasses the majority mark of 272 in the 543-member Lok Sabha.

Addressing the gathering, BJP national president JP Nadda expressed heartfelt congratulations to the Prime Minister, lauding his unwavering dedication to serving the nation. He remarked, “India is creating history today, and NDA is forming a government for the third consecutive time with a majority.”

Upon arrival at the Parliament, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio conveyed his congratulations to PM Modi for his third term and the success of the NDA as the third-term government.
