Hyderabad: Attention is drawn to some erroneous news report that following LPG price changes, there is likely to be a change subsidy transfer scheme. It is once again reiterated that there is no change/modification in the system of transfer of subsidy scheme. The present scheme of subsidy transfer to the bank accounts of beneficiaries will continue as before.
Every beneficiary of PAHAL scheme gets LPG subsidy directly in to bank account up on purchasing of refill at non-subsidized price. Subsidy entitlement of LPG consumers is protected against any increase in price of LPG by compensating through increase in subsidy, which is borne by the Central Government. Implementation of PAHAL scheme has helped the Government in identifying & blocking multiple LPG connections & ensuring subsidy reach the needy consumers. More than 23 crore LPG consumers are getting subsidy and have received subsidy of nearly Rs 94500 crore since November 2014 through direct transfer of subsidy into bank account.
