Hyderabad: Telangana Mahila Congress president Nerella Sharada has alleged that there was no security to the women in the State with the Women & Child Welfare Department sleeping in the State. She said prostitution menace in the holy Yadadri was due to the sin of police and Women and Child Welfare Department. The police were not controlling the prostitution houses in Yadadri with the greedy of commissions.
Demanding the police to file Nirbhaya case against the organizers of Prostitution houses in Yadadri, Sharada asked the state government to revive Women Commission immediately. She said that the women will get justice only if appointed woman as a Minister for Women and Child Welfare department.
National Women Congress general secretary Seethakka alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao were treating women as second grade citizens. Both Modi and KCR were indulging publicity stunt in regard to women protection by leaving the protection of women to the wind. She asked KCR, who was keen on constructing Yadadri temple, to tell whether he has no concentration on the atrocities going on in Yadadri temple town. She asked KCR to keep the interest on women as he puts on Vasthu and alleged that She Teams have transformed as show cases. She demanded the state government to arrest the gangs, who were doing business with women, and punish them severely. (NSS)
