Hyderabad: Health Minister Etela Rajender today said there was not a single case of coronavirus found in the State. He said due to the increase in day temperatures in the State, the effects of the virus could be less.
Speaking to media persons here on Saturday, the minister said they have conducted 70 tests and found no single case of that virus. However, the people should be cautious and should visit doctors if have a severe cold or other symptoms, he said. “We are conducting tests in Gandhi Hospital and getting reports in six hours in Secunderabad. The State government was fully prepared for tackling the problem. Earlier, we used to send the cases to Pune and now that was not required. We create confidence among people by bringing regular health bulletin on the Coronavirus”, he added.
Rajender said to ensure availability of Pulmonology doctors in all Teaching hospitals, he instructed the officials to conduct check-ups for coronavirus if any persons are suspected to have it the minister asked health officials. Rajender informed that the State hospitals are fully prepared with facilities to take on the problem. Those coming from China should visit city hospitals for virus checkup, which needs about 10 hours, he appealed.
The doctors and staff are ready at Fever, Gandhi and Chest hospitals to check the problem, he said. He allayed fears that there are no cases proved positive in our state and people should not worry.
