Top officials from the Railways Department, including senior engineers and safety officers, have also reached the spot to assess the situation and initiate an investigation. Preliminary reports suggest that the derailment might have been caused by a track defect, but a comprehensive inquiry is awaited to determine the exact reasons.

Local residents and first responders were among the first to arrive at the scene, helping trapped passengers and offering immediate support. Rail traffic on the affected route has been temporarily suspended, and efforts are being made to restore normalcy as soon as possible.
