Hyderabad: Anjani Kumar, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, has invoked P.D.Act against Shaik Shoukath S/o Shaik Sarvar of Afzalgunj Police Station.
A press release said today that Shaik Shoukath, aged about 24 years, R/o Hafeez Baba Nagar, Chandrayangutta, Hyderabad District, has been committing offences of theft of cell phones, by diverting attention of passengers traveling in sharing auto rickshaws under the guise of adjustment of seats in an organized manner along with his associates in the limits of Hyderabad Commissionerate to make easy money and to lead a lavish life. He Committed 23 such offences and has been creating large scale fear and panic among the general public who wish to travel in sharing auto rickshaws and other valuables, thereby adversely effecting the public order apart from disturbing the peace, tranquility and social harmony in the society.
Afzalgunj Police made efforts to arrest the accused Shaik Shoukath, on August 8, 2018 and remanded him to judicial custody. The Detention Order was executed on him on August 10, 2018 and lodged him in Central Prison, Chanchalguda. (NSS)
