Hyderabad : The residents of Chiranjeevinagar Colony in Miyapur division were in for a shock on Thursday morning as they got muddy water from the drinking water pipelines of Hyderabad Metro Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB). The water received by the residents was filled with mud.
This has not only shocked the residents, but also left them craving for words as they did not have water to consume. The residents told this correspondent that it was the second time that they received such water. “We have been facing this problem since the last couple of days. We got the muddy water since the last two months. Moreover, we are getting water once four days since the last two weeks.
Earlier, we used to get water for every alternate day,” Afroz, a resident of the area said. They immediately sprang into action and lodged a complaint with water board authorities. However, there was knee jerk reaction from the officials concerned. The residents are urging the authorities to address their problem and supply pure and safe drinking water to them. (NSS)
