Police Arrest Job Fraudsters—Asks People to be Cautious

Hyderabad : The Rachakonda Cyber Crime sleuth have arrested a most wanted Job/OLX fraudster of Nigerian National Kalu Kalu Chukwu, aged: 38 years R/o Lingarajapuram, Bangalore city, yesterday.

The complainant Balakumar r/o Maheshwaram uploaded his resume in various job portal websites. The complainant responding to emails received from [email protected].[email protected] , richard.davis@us-traveldocs.com  and phone calls from Rita Butler (+16093183290), Mike Perry (9582105988, 9643142146), Richard Davis (9205396032) sent appointment letter to the complainant and made calls to the complainant and demanded him to pay amounts towards processing fees for acquiring Visa Cum job in USA and made him to transfer an amount of Rs. 30,60,097/- in different bank accounts on different times. On the above complaint a case was registered under  IT Act.

Yesterday,  the accused Kalu Kalu Chukwu was arrested at Hyderabad city. He is a graduate and came to India in 2012 on business visa for three months and staying since then illegally. Some of the Nigerians are indulging in cheating innocent Indians particularly committing Cyber Crimes. The accused along with other Nigerian nationals, . Isaac Emmabro,  Stanley, Aba Yomi,  Yemi,  Joseph,  Ekene Agu Pa Egbe, Mike,  Dobera, and  Daniel Chidiebere Chukwuanu and some conspired each other and decided to cheat the innocent Indian people by making phishing calls, posting advertisements on OLX website, Job frauds, Matrimonial frauds and other online cheatings. For that they used to make friendship with local people and used to collect their bank accounts details including Passbooks and Debit cards by paying 20,000/- to 30,000/- for each account. Whenever the victims depositing the amounts in those accounts, within no time they are withdrawing  the amounts from different parts of the India and sharing it among themselves and transferring it to Nigeria and spending here lavishly.

In Job fraud cases, they create forged fake offer letters, appointment letters, Foreign embassy letters etc., and sent them to through their fake email IDs/whatsapp messenger.Rachakonda Police Commissioner, Mahesh M Bhagwat, in a press note, cautioned the citizens to be aware of such fraudsters who are always on the prowl to cheat and loot the innocent gullible people. People are advised to be doubly sure before believing and entering into any financial transactions.

Two laptops, 19 mobiles phones, two  passports, one  Eco sport vehicle car and other incriminating material  was seized from the accused. (NSS).
