Hyderabad: Stage is set to initiate action against eminent rationalist Babu Gogineni. It is learnt that the police completed arrangements to issue notices to him.
The Madhapur police would likely to hand over the notices to the BigBoss Reality Show organisers today or tomorrow. It seems, the police may give 48-hour time to Babu Gogineni for his explanation after handing over the notices.
It may be mentioned here that one person approached the High Court alleging that the police didn’t take any action though the case was filed against Babu Gogineni. Reacting on the petition, the High Court directed the Cyberabad Police to file a counter on the progress of the case of Babu Gogineni before July 25.
It may also be mentioned here that a case was filed in Madhapur Police Station with severe criminal allegations against Babu Gogineni last month. Petitioner one Narayana lodged a complaint with Madhapur Police Station alleging that Babu Gogineni was misusing funds for the sake of publicity of rationalism and also collecting Aadhaar information from the enthusiasts by violating the Aadhaar Act.
The petitioner alleged in his petition that Babu Gogineni and his followers were handing over the Aadhaar information, which supposed to be kept in secret, to the neighbouring countries. He was also mentioned in his petition that the act of Babu Gogineni will turn danger to the security of the nation. With this petition, the Madhapur police filed cases under several sections Betrayal of the nation, insulting religious beliefs and improper publicity besides Aadhaar Act.
