Prajavani, a platform aimed at addressing public grievances, has come under scrutiny as numerous citizens express dissatisfaction over unresolved issues and unmet expectations with government services in Telangana. Despite efforts to tackle grievances, many individuals feel let down by the system’s inefficiencies and bureaucratic hurdles.
On a recent Friday, Prajavani received a total of 594 applications, highlighting widespread concerns across various departments. Revenue-related issues topped the list with 141 cases, followed by 86 cases related to the Civil Supplies department, 58 concerning the Electricity department, and 56 related to housing. Dr. Chinna Reddy, Vice President of the Planning Commission, attended the program at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan, underscoring the significance of addressing these challenges.
Srinivas (name changed), a resident from Suryapet, lamented his experience with Prajavani, stating, “I have visited Prajavani four times regarding my land issue, but to no avail. The officials seem unable to locate my land documents, leaving me without resolution. I feel Prajavani has failed me financially, emotionally, and physically.”

Vatsalya Begum from Hanmakonda echoed similar sentiments, expressing disappointment over unresolved pension and ration card issues despite multiple visits. “It has been six months, and neither my pension nor housing benefits under schemes like Indiramma have been granted. My husband faces the same plight with his pension. I have lost hope in this scheme,” she remarked.
Ramavajhula Sivarama Shastri, a retired junior assistant from the ICDS Project Office in Khammam, voiced frustration over career stagnation despite holding qualifications in Sociology and Hindi since 1986. “Colleagues without sufficient qualifications have been promoted, while my rightful promotions were denied despite a court ruling in my favor. I hope Prajavani can finally address this injustice,” he stated.
These accounts underscore a growing sentiment of disillusionment among citizens relying on Prajavani for redressal of grievances. As frustrations mount over bureaucratic inefficiencies and delayed resolutions, there is an urgent call for improvements to restore public trust and ensure effective governance in Telangana.
