IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao today participated in the launch of Premier Energies Solar company in E City in Maheshwaram near the city here.
Along with Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy, Surender Pal Singh, Founder and Chairman, Chiranjeev Saluja, Founder and Managing Director of Premier Energies, and Several high-level officials were present.
Telangana has been offering special incentives for the industries offering employment to the local youth. Premier, which has a capacity of 750 MW each of solar cell and module manufacturing, has created about 700 jobs locally, he said. It has built the new unit at a cost of Rs 483 crore in a record 18 months.
Telangana state occupies the second position in the country in solar production and efforts are on to increase investments further, KT Rama Rao has said.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the state got about 15000 new industries and companies roped in with 2.20 lakh core investments in the last 7 years. Out of them, 80 percent of companies began production as the state is in the second position in solar energy production, he claimed.
We welcome the Premier Energies Solar Company for its Greenfield projects to augment the state solar energy capacity, the Minister said. This company to increase its investment to Rs 1200 Crore by 2023 the minister said and appreciated for providing 700 jobs.
KT Rama Rao appreciated Premier Energies Solar company as it offered jobs to the deserving people locally without any recommendations, KTR noted. The government provides all support and cooperation for Premier Energies Solar company to boost its production in the state.
He appreciated Premier Energies Solar company for their interest to add to industrial growth in the state.

He stated that Skill Development Center will be developed on August 5 to provide skills and jobs to people in Raviryala, Maheshwaram, and Tukkuguda areas.
The state gives priority to solar energy production and welcomes the companies to invest and set up their businesses here.
Premier Energies Solar company plans to produce 4 Giga watts capacity solar modules and cells by 2023.
