Hyderabad: Dr. MCR HRD Institute of Telangana launched a Professional Course for Group-I Officers, including Probationary Deputy Collectors, Assistant Treasury Officers and Assistant Audit Officers. K Ramakrishna Rao, IAS, Finance Principal Secretary inaugurated the training program.
Speaking on the occasion, Ramakrishna Rao said Group-I officers, though small in numbers, have a rare opportunity to provide leadership aimed at improving the
contribution of over three-and-a-half lakh employees at different levels, and thereby enriching quality of governance for about three-and-a-half crores people of Telangana State. He advised them to learn and perfect the art of leadership by developing a positive vision of future, acquiring ability to get the things done, spotting leaders at lower levels and grooming them, and finding time for their own overall development.
Vakati Karuna, IAS, Director, Land Revenue, said Group-I Officers have the rare privilege of not only interacting with a large number of people, especially their underprivileged and rural counterparts, but also bringing about a positive change in their lives. She called upon the Group-I Officers to be the champions of poor and vulnerable sections of society and endeavor to use their positions to deliver maximum justice. Considering the spectacular performance of government during the last four years, she advised the Group-I Officers to possess positive perspective and continue to deliver their optimum best to their jobs and organizations.
M Venkateshwar Rao, Director of State Audit Department, K S R C Murty, Director of Treasuries & Accounts, also spoke. B Venkateswara Rao, IAS, ADG, Dr MCR HRD Institute said the content of the training program is current and up-to-date. “Thorough brainstorming sessions were held with senior practitioners in order to ensure that the program covers all the latest themes and the relevant softwares”, he added. E Narasimhan, Jt. Dierctor, K Jagan Mohan Goud, Head, Centre for Financial Management conducted proceedings of the function.(NSS)
