Prolonged Heat Wave Expected in Telangana with High Temperatures

The Indian Meteorological Department Hyderabad (IMD-H) reported that the heat wave is expected to persist in Telangana. On Sunday, Karimnagar recorded the highest temperature at 45.4 degrees Celsius.

Hyderabad experienced a high of 42.8 degrees Celsius. Nalgonda and Mulugu districts recorded the second-highest temperatures at 45.2 degrees Celsius. Other districts, including Jagtial (45.1), Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Mancherial (44.8), Peddapalli (44.7), and Komaram Bheem Asifabad (44.6), also faced intense heat.

The IMD noted that on April 28, hot and humid conditions were prevalent across several districts, including Adilabad, Karimnagar, and Nalgonda. Similar weather is anticipated for the state on April 29.

The IMD-H forecast isolated light to moderate rains in some areas, while the heat wave is expected to continue in Telangana until May 2. The Telangana State Planning and Development Society (TSDPS) predicts dry weather until May 1.

The maximum temperature is likely to range from 40 to 44 degrees Celsius, with the minimum temperature expected to be between 25 and 28 degrees Celsius. The GHMC areas are set to experience dry weather until May 1, with maximum temperatures ranging from 41 to 43 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures between 26 and 29 degrees Celsius.
