The Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, one of the holiest sites in Islam, has been fully prepared to welcome worshippers during the post-Hajj season. Located in the Hijaz region of Saudi Arabia, the mosque is a key destination for millions of Muslims who travel to Madinah after performing Hajj in Makkah.
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced on Tuesday that special arrangements have been made to ensure a safe, organized, and peaceful environment for all worshippers. These efforts are aimed at helping visitors perform their prayers and rituals in comfort and without overcrowding.
As part of the preparations, the entry and exit points of the Prophet’s Mosque were carefully examined to reduce congestion. New signs have been installed throughout the mosque to guide worshippers to designated prayer areas. The authority has also placed clear instructions to avoid sitting or praying in the mosque’s corridors and courtyards, so that foot traffic remains smooth and uninterrupted.
Officials explained that their main goal is to allow all worshippers to perform their religious duties in a calm and respectful atmosphere, especially after the physically demanding Hajj pilgrimage.
Over 1.4 million Muslims from around the world recently completed the Hajj pilgrimage. Many of them are now visiting Madinah to offer prayers at the Prophet’s Mosque, which holds great spiritual importance as the resting place of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
These improvements in crowd management reflect the Saudi government’s ongoing commitment to improving the pilgrimage experience and ensuring the safety and well-being of all visitors.
