Hussainialam witnessed a large protest rally on Thursday calling for action against the former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma for her derogatory remarks against Prophet Mohammed.
In a rally between Barigalli Hussainailam and Hussainailam police station, youths under the banner Youth of Hussainialam held banners with messages criticizing Nupur Sharma and chanted ‘Nupur Sharma down down’ and ‘Arrest Nupur Sharma immediately’.
As the gathering reached the police station in Hussainialam, they met Inspector Naresh Kumar and requested he book a case against Nupur in various sections of the Indian Penal Code and arrest her.
During a television show debate last month, Nupur made derogatory statements about the Prophet. In Mumbai and Hyderabad, FIRs have been filed against her for her comments.

Asaduddin Owaisi demands Nupur Sharma’s arrest
Asaduddin Owaisi, Hyderabad MP and president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), also demanded on Monday that Nupur Sharma and Delhi media cell head Navin Kumar Jindal be arrested and sent to jail for making controversial remarks about Prophet Muhammad.
“While Muslims are charged under the National Security Act in connection with the violence in Kanpur, those who embarrass the nation by making anti-Islamic remarks are simply suspended,” he said.
The AIMIM chief criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP leadership for not taking action against Nupur for 10 days, despite repeated demands by other Indian citizens, but hurriedly suspended them due to backlash from the Gulf countries.
Modi should be held accountable for any economic backlash that India faces. Nupur Sharma’s remarks on Prophet Muhammad sparked outrage in Gulf nations and put India in an embarrassing position, he said.
In a jibe at the external affairs ministry, Owaisi asked whether foreign affairs has become part of the BJP. The Modi-led BJP government has ruined the country’s foreign policy, he said.
