Fans of the blockbuster Pushpa franchise have reason to celebrate as the much-anticipated third installment has been officially confirmed. Producer Ravi Yelamanchili of Mythri Movie Makers announced during a promotional event for their upcoming film Robinhood in Vijayawada that Pushpa 3 is in the pipeline and slated for a 2028 release.
“Yes, Pushpa 3 will happen, and we aim to release it in 2028,” Yelamanchili stated, putting an end to months of speculation about the franchise’s future. Directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, the Pushpa franchise has become a nationwide sensation. The first film, Pushpa: The Rise, released in 2021, captivated audiences with its gripping storyline, powerful performances, and chart-topping music. The sequel, Pushpa: The Rule, further cemented the series’ success, turning Allu Arjun’s portrayal of Pushpa Raj into a cultural phenomenon.
Although Pushpa 3 is confirmed, fans may have to wait a few years before production begins, as both Sukumar and Allu Arjun are currently engaged in other projects. Director Sukumar is set to collaborate with Ram Charan for an upcoming film, while Allu Arjun is exploring multiple directorial partnerships. He is reportedly in talks with Atlee and Trivikram Srinivas for his next ventures.
