Hyderabad: The TPCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy is unlucky. He has to bear with his beard for another five years, commented one TRS supporter. Similarly, the TPCC working President A Revanth Reddy has to take to ‘Sanyas’, he added.
It may be recalled that Uttam Kumar Reddy had taken a vow that he would shave his beard only after the victory of the Congress party in the State. Now that the Congress party was not only defeated but also badly routed, it is to be seen whether he would stick to his vow or otherwise.
Revanth Reddy had thrown a challenge at caretaker Minister K T Rama Rao some days ago that he would take political sanyas if he was defeated in the election, and asked KTR whether he would also do the same if he was defeated. Now that he faced defeat in the election by a margin of 9,319 votes, while KTR won with a huge margin of over 89,000 votes, will he take his challenge seriously or not is the Big Question. (NSS)
