The entire state of Telangana has been covered by Southwest Monsoon. Hence, good rainfall activity has been going on over many parts of the state. During the last 24 hours, moderate rains occurred over the northern parts of Telangana and Nizamabad recorded heavy rainfall activity to the tune of 63 mm.

During the same time frame, Medak recorded 22 mm of rain, followed by Adilabad 27 mm, Bhadrachalam 14 mm, Khammam 2 mm, Hyderabad 0.7 mm.

Currently, a trough is seen extending from Bangladesh to Andhra Pradesh across Telangana. Therefore, we expect light to moderate rains with one or two heavy spells to occur over Northern districts of Telangana. Scattered rains will continue over the southern districts.

Hyderabad may also receive one or two good spells of rain. Meanwhile, southern parts of Telangana will receive light rains and sky conditions will remain cloudy to overcast.

Day temperatures which are currently being recorded below normal, are expected to rise over southern parts of Telangana during the next 24 hours. Other parts of the state may witness some drop in the maximum temperatures. Minimums may also fall to some extent.
