Raise voice in Parliament : KCR tells TRS MPs

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) today said that the TRS MPs will fight for their rights of the state in the ensuing Parliament session beginning Sept 14. After the Assembly session adjourned, the TRS boss KCR has held a closed-door meeting with party MPs at Telangana Bhavan here.

He directed the party MPs of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha to raise their voices to protect state interests during the Corona period causing loss of revenues. The center has to give respect to the states and offer needed loans and funds during the Corona crisis he said. We have to exert pressure on the center on GST loans, arrears, and funds by staging protests, the link party boss said. The center has taken a unilateral decision asking the states to get loans instead of offering he opined. If necessary raise voice in both the houses, make a walkout, and register protests outside the parliament, he said.

The Chief Minister has expressed that the Centre has asked the states to get loans to compensate GST allocated funds, relax FRBM norms to get more loans. The center is supposed to offer loans, clear pending arrears, and funds he felt. Though several states opposed its proposal on loans the center is yet to make up its mind he reportedly said.
He said that the Centre is trying to hold supremacy on the states by denying them GST arrears, and funds for development. KCR has asked the party MPs to rake up the issues in Parliament like GST arrears, funds pending under various heads for the state.
