Raja Singh slams govt for downplaying Dengue menace

Hyderabad: BJP leader and Goshamahal MLA T Raja Singh, who has been visiting Osmania General Hospital to enquiry about dengue cases, demanded that the State government take immediate steps to banish viral fevers. The government has been downplaying the dengue menace in Telangana and two more died of dengue in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Stating that 530 cases of dengue have been confirmed in the State in the last 25 days, Raja Singh said Hyderabad alone has recorded 372 cases till end of August, but the officials say the actual number of cases could be much higher. But the government has been underplaying the severity of the issue and claims that the number of dengue cases was less compared to previous years.
