Hyderabad: In view of Ramzan shopping from Madina to Himmatpura in Old City from May 25 to June 5/6 i.e. till the Ramzan festival (Id-ul-Fitr), there is likelihood of traffic congestion and traffic jams. In order to relieve congestion, to maintain smooth flow of traffic and to ensure public safety and order, the following traffic arrangements were made.
TSRTC buses and other buses
All district buses intending to proceed towards Mahbubnagar, Kurnool, Bengaluru, Srisailam and so on will ply via MGBS – Chaderghat – Nalgonda X Roads – Chanchalguda – I.S.Sadan – Santosh Nagar – DMRL – Phisalbanda – MBNR Flyover – Bandlaguda – Aramghar. Route No. 94 and other buses go straight from Afzalgunj towards Bhoolaxmi Temple– left turn – M.J. Bridge right turn at City College towards Puranapul and onwards journey.
All City buses coming from Falaknuma – Engine Bowli – S.A.Chaburtra – Laldarwaza – Shalibanda ply up to Charminar Bus Stand. All City buses coming from Falaknuma – Engine Bowli – S.A.Chaburtra – Laldarwaza – Shalibanda take left turn at Himmapura proceed towards Quilwath – Motigalli – left turn – Moosabowli – City College and onward journey.
According to local situation, RTC buses coming from Bahadurpura side will be diverted at Puranapul towards Jumerat Bazar – Bhoolaxmi Temple – Afzalgunj and will not be allowed towards City College.
No vehicular traffic i.e. two wheelers, three wheelers and cars are allowed beyond this point to avoid traffic congestion and traffic jams and to facilitate the pedestrians. Mitti ka Sher, Kalikaman, Ladbazar – Motigalli, Panch Mohalla, Chowk Maidan Khan, Gulzar House and Lakkadkote.
Parking places
The commuters are requested to park their vehicles at Charminar Bus stand, Quli Qutub Shah Stadium, Near City College, Pension office at Khilwath, Khilwath Grounds, Mufeed-ul-Alam School Ground at Kotla Aliza. (NSS)
