Ranuka greets Nama, urges him to strive for completion of pending projects

Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and former Union minister Renuka Choudary, who unsuccessfully contested election from Khammam Lok Sabha seat and faced defeat, from the seat, on Friday congratulated successful TRS candidate Nama Nageswar Rao.

Addressing the media here today, Renuka requested Nama Nageswar Rao to take responsibility of completing all the pending projects in the constituency. She also said the people of Khammam district had proved that moral values were still alive in the world’s largest democracy. She thanked the people of Khammam for casting four lakh votes in her favor. She said her party workers had worked hard for her win despite lack of party MLAs.

Commenting on the humiliating defeat of her  party at the national level, Renuka said the party leadership should take own moral responsibility for the same. She also expressed her sympathy with another defeated woman candidate from Nizamabad MP seat and daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao K. Kavitha on her defeat in the elections. She also made it clear that the BJP didn’t need KCR at the Center. She said she was very happy on moral grounds.

Replying to a question on getting fewer number of votes in CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka’s Assembly constituency Madhira, Renuka shot back saying the media should pose the same question to the CLP leader. Noting that some harsh realities shared by her might not be liked by the party leaders, she said it was time for the party to awake and work hard to regain the past glory. (NSS)
