The much-anticipated Rasoolpura flyover project received a major push as Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner RV Karnan conducted a detailed field inspection in the Secunderabad zone.
As part of the visit, the Commissioner evaluated the state of bus stops near the Secunderabad Railway Station, which is currently undergoing major redevelopment. A key focus of the inspection was the proposed alignment of the Rasoolpura flyover, a significant project under the H-City initiative that aims to ease congestion and improve traffic flow in one of the city’s busiest corridors.
Officials informed the Commissioner that nearly 24 meters of land from the railway boundary is needed for the flyover’s construction. GHMC Superintending Engineer Srinivas also pointed out the need to shift an existing bus stop to ensure uninterrupted progress of the project. He requested that an alternative location be identified for its relocation.

Responding promptly, Commissioner Karnan directed officials to immediately assess the required site and initiate land acquisition procedures without delay. The Commissioner’s proactive engagement signals GHMC’s commitment to fast-tracking the Rasoolpura flyover, which is expected to significantly benefit commuters heading toward Begumpet, Rasoolpura, and surrounding areas.
