Hyderabad: Ration Dealers’ Association State president Nayikot Raju today bemoaned that not a single step was not taken to solve their problems though they discussed with Civil Supplies Minister Etela Rajender for 300 times.
Speaking to the media here on Sunday, Raju said Etela had assured them to solve their problems but did nothing for the last four years. He said the Minister, who supposed to implement National Food Security Scheme perfectly, failed in his job, he added. He said Etela assured them last year when they went on strike that he would strive to solve their problems and make the Chief Minister to talk to them within 10 days.
Nayikot Raju said they welcomed e-pass machines only after a clear assurance was given on the welfare of the dealers by the minister. He also said the government was saving crores of rupees as irregularities decreased after introduction of e-pass machines but there was no light in their lives. He demanded that the Civil Supplies Minister initiate steps immediately to solve their problems. He also made it clear that they would not withdraw their strike till the government concede their problems. (NSS)
