Hyderabad: Congress leader and Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy today heaved a sigh of relief with the High Court granting stay on the defamation case going on in the Nampally Court against Revanth Reddy.
It may be mentioned here that My Home proprietor Jupally Rameshwara Rao filed a defamation case in Nampally Court against Revanth Reddy for alleging irregularities in the land allotments at the Hi-Tech City and Rameshwara Rao got benefited. Consequently, Rameshwara Rao filed a defamation case in Nampally Court. In his petition, Rameshwara Rao said Revanth Reddy’s baseless allegations marred his name and demanded Revanth Reddy to pay Rs 90 crore compensation.
When Revanth Reddy approached the High Court, it perused the complainant’s petition and granted stay on the court proceedings in Nampally Criminal Court. (NSS)
