Resignation of Rajgopal was driven by contracts, personal gain: Revanth Reddy

As a result of Rajgopal Reddy’s resignation from the party and Assembly, Congress said this decision was driven by business interests.

At a press conference in New Delhi, Revanth Reddy thundered: “How can Rajgopal Reddy quit the party, which gave him status and image, when Sonia Gandhi is being grilled by ED about political motives?”

It didn’t surprise the party high command that Rajgopal Reddy left, which immediately sent TPCC chief Revanth Reddy to castigate him.

According to Revanth Reddy, Mungugode had elected Sonia Gandhi’s representative, so they will continue to hold the seat.

AICC party in charge Manickam Tagore has announced the formation of a seven-member Strategy and Campaign Committee for the Munugode constituency with Madhu Yaskhi Goud as its convener.

Rajgopal Reddy left Congress only for personal gain and contracts, according to the TPCC president. He said that Congress was prepared to contest the by-election in the constituency and a meeting of party workers was scheduled for August 5.

Meanwhile, the TRS chose to stay silent on Rajgopal Reddy’s resignation, while the BJP welcomed it. They said they would speak after he resigned from the Assembly and joined the BJP.

According to Gudur Narayana Reddy, a senior BJP leader, Rajagopal Reddy will join the BJP to strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

Narayana Reddy described the move as a long-awaited event that will realign politics in the BJP’s favor. The BJP would soon attract those who have not yet made up their minds about joining.

In regards to Rajgopal Reddy’s brother and Bhongir MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, the TPCC president assured that the MP would continue to serve as a leader in the party.

His induction into the BJP’s fold will attract young people, who are still neutral and expand the party’s base in the state.
