Hyderabad : Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee working president A Revanth Reddy today failed to appear before Income Tax (IT) officials in connection with the alleged tax violations. Revanth Reddy was earlier scheduled to meet the officials at Aayakar Bhavan in Basheerbagh here on Tuesday. He reportedly informed the IT officials that he would send documents through his accountants to clarify doubts about the alleged tax violations and other business transactions.
It may be mentioned here that Revanth Reddy had appeared before the IT officials on October 3 in response to a notice issued to him after conducting raids at 16 places, including his house in Jubilee Hills in the last week of September. He was interrogated on his assets disproportionate to his known sources of income and fake companies. After a daylong grilling session on October 3, the IT officials asked Revanth to re-appear before them on Tuesday, but he reportedly told them that he would send documents through his accountants.
