Telangana State Congress President Revanth Reddy has expressed optimism in the Congress party’s prospects in the next elections, claiming that 90 lakh votes will be enough to clinch victory in 90 assembly seats. He urged Congress leaders and members to devote the next 100 days to guaranteeing the prosperity of the party.
Revanth Reddy, speaking to party workers, highlighted the inevitability of a Congress government in Telangana following the assembly elections, believing that the people have clearly made their choice. He also stated that national Congress leaders would be in Hyderabad from September 16 to 18, for a public meeting and a working committee meeting.
On September 18, Congress leaders will meet with party workers and members of the public in various assembly districts. Revanth Reddy emphasized the significance of focusing on voter registration, which includes adding eligible voters to the list and eliminating fraudulent names.
However, Revanth Reddy voiced alarm about the government’s unwillingness to grant permission for public meetings at three different places, claiming land ownership issues. In response, he praised farmers who had volunteered their land for public gatherings and promised a big public gathering in Tukkuguda, with the support of farmers and participation from over 5 lakh people. Telangana’s next elections are expected to be hotly contested, and political groups are preparing for heated campaigns.
