TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy today demanded the state government come to the rescue of those, who have suffered a lot due to the recent heavy rains across Telangana.
He wrote a letter to the Chief Minister of the state KCR on the issue.
In his letter, he told the CM that the farmers of the state had suffered a lot due to the recent heavy rains and demanded it Gives Rs.15,000 per acre to the affected farmers.
He also demanded the state government give input Subsidies for the purchase of seeds and Fertilizers. Reddy further demanded the CM to pay the premium of crop insurance of the farmers and implement their scheme besides demanding it to release funds for the payment of Rs.1 lakh towards the crop loan waiver scheme.

He alleged that the state government was neither implementing the PM drop insurances scheme nor implementing an amended weather-based crop insurance scheme in the state and added that the state government was not interested to implement the two crop insurance schemes for fear of paying a premium amount for their implementation.
He said that the rain insurance-2021 scheme being implemented by the national agriculture insurance corporation to only seven crops of the state.
He said that the farmers of the state had no option but to pay the premium of the crops which have been covered by the corporation.
Referring to the increasing fuel rates, the continuous increase in the fuel rates was having a terrible impact on the agriculture investments in the state.

He demanded the state government implement its crop loan waiver promise immediately.
