The Railway Protection Force (RPF) Secunderabad Division, in coordination with other agencies like as Bachpan Bachao Andolan, GRP, CWC, and DCPU, successfully rescued nine children from human traffickers. On July 14, RPF soldiers escorted the Secunderabad SF Express from Sirpur Kaghaznagar and conducted raids along the way to Kazipet station.
The intelligence supplied by the RPF’s Cyber Cell from constant data analysis was critical in identifying and targeting the traffickers. The operation resulted in the rescue of nine children and the arrest of four traffickers from Bihar and Jharkhand.
The RPF Secunderabad Division has been conducting several anti-human trafficking tactics. These include deploying more employees at train stations, installing CCTV cameras for increased surveillance, and conducting public awareness campaigns about the hazards of human trafficking. The division has rescued 215 children and caught 105 traffickers thus far in 2023.
To make reporting and assistance even easier, the RPF has established a dedicated helpline (139) for the public to report suspected occurrences of human trafficking. This campaign intends to encourage active community participation in identifying and preventing such criminal actions.
The RPF and collaborating organizations’ successful rescue operation and ongoing operations illustrate their dedication to preventing human trafficking and protecting vulnerable individuals, notably children.
