Hyderabad: Accusing Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu of failing to provide reservations to the BCs and ignoring their welfare, YCP President and Opposition leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy today announced BC Declaration saying that on coming to power his government will provide reservations for BCs and allocate Rs 75000 cr in five years for BCs, (Rs 15000 cr every year), Rs 75000 will be given to the BC women besides launching 139 corporations for their welfare on coming to power.
He was addressing a public meeting BC Garjana at Eluru in West Godavari district in the presence of BC leader R Krishnahaiah and YCP leaders. Jagan Reddy criticised that Chandrababu allotted only Rs 18000 cr for the BCs against his promise of Rs 10000 cr every year. He said that on coming to power BC sub plan will be made into an act in the first assembly session and BC Commission will work with legal powers. Jagan Reddy announced sops to BCs to encourage their children to study IAS, engineering, medicine and others as the government will spend lakhs of funds. The students of the hostels will get Rs 20000 a year and Rs 15000 to their mothers a year. A special act will be launched to provide 50 per cent jobs in outsourcing, contract posts for BC, SC, ST and Minorities, Rs 10000 interest free loans to small vendors, same amount to saloons, house and employment to nomad tribe and open special schools for their children.
Jagan Reddy also said that Rs 10 lakh ex gratia to fishermen, Rs 7 lakhs to BCs if died accidentally under YSR Bhima scheme, Rs 2000 every month to weavers, Rs 4 incentive to every liter milk for cooperative diary. He appealed to people give him power for welfare and development of the state. On coming to power the Government will talk to Telangana government to give BC status to 32 sub castes.
Krishnaiah said that BC reservations are possible only when Jaganomhan Reddy is made chief minister. Thus he said that the people should vote for the YSRCP in the next elections and deny votes to the ruling TD led by Chandrababu Naidu. (NSS)
