Hyderabad: State Government today released Rs 40 cr towards for Railway workshop at Khajipet and railway officials promised to complete the works in two years. With this efforts made by Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari fructified and the new workshop will boost economy and provide employment. Srihari said that railway officials said to complete the works in two years on land transfer.
While the Railways sought 150 acre land for the purpose the state government announced to give it free of cost for the workshop. Now the officials found 158.18 acres of endowment land at Madikonda Sitarama Chandraswamy temple in Hanmakonda area. Srihari apprised the compensation demand by people to be affected by the workshop, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao agreed to give funds and the government gave nod for Rs 40 cr in this regard. Earlier, the victims sought Srihari suitable compensation for their assets like land or houses for the purpose. (NSS)
