RSS, BJP, ABVP activists burn KCR’s effigy

Hyderabad: Strongly protesting against the externment of Sri Peetam Peetadhipathi Swami Paripoornananda from the city by the police on Wednesday, the activists of RSS, BJP, ABVP burnt an effigy of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. However, the police tightened security to ward off any untoward incidents.

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad on Wednesday condemned the decision of the Telangana police to extern Swami Paripoornananda from Hyderabad for six months.

Speaking to the media today, VHP State Secretary Ramaraju demanded unconditional release of Swami Paripoornananda and revoke externment order. He also demanded that film critic Kathi Mahesh be arrested for making blasphemous remarks against epic hero Lord Rama. The VHP, along with Bajrang Dal and other Hindu organizations were meeting in the city to discuss the future course of action on the Swami’s externment from the city, he added. (NSS)
