Ryots of Amravati novel protest against three capitals

Amaravati: The ryots of the Amravati of Andhra Pradesh today protested against the decision of the state to decentralize the capitals. A large no of peasants today gathered at Tallayapalam to Nelapadu of Amravati by maintaining the physical distance and raised their concern on against three capitals of the State. Holding national flags the agitators raised the slogans against the decision of the State.

 The farmers, their family members, relatives, and others have protested by standing on their knees on a way to the court at the time of arriving the judges. Talking to the media On this occasion the farmers demanded to reverse the decision of three capitals.

 Speaking on the occasion, JAC convener Sudhakar said, ” The government had taken our lands to build public capital and turned the capital into a political sport.” The incumbent government has unilaterally repealed the CRDA bill to the detriment of the interests of the farmers. On the other hand, farmers have lodged complaints against local MLA A. Ramakrishnareddy at all police stations in the constituency and alleged deceiving the farmers. Clippings of advertisements made on Amravati before the elections were attached to the complaints.

It may be recalled that the farmers of the incumbent Capital Amravati have been agitating on this issue and expressing their resentment on decentralizing the capital. Principal opposition TDP has also supported the cause of the peasants. It has asserted that Farmers have been given lands as per the agreement with the state government but the incumbent government is neglecting the Interest of the ryots. Another party Janasena leader had also criticized the decision to move the capital as a personal agenda and not a government decision. Party leader N.Manohar said, “There have been land scandals in the capital”. Should the perpetrators of the scandals be prosecuted and punished? Pawan Kalyan had earlier visited the capital and inspected the lands. He is in support of the ryots and has been saying from the beginning that farmers should not be harmed”.
