Salman Khan’s Sikandar Teaser Fails to Impress, Faces Backlash

Salman Khan’s highly anticipated film Sikandar was expected to mark his grand return to the big screen, but the latest teaser has failed to maintain the initial excitement. Instead of amplifying the buzz, it has drawn criticism for Salman’s uninspired dialogue delivery, lackluster screen presence, and underwhelming background score.

This unexpected reaction comes despite the record-breaking success of Sikandar Teaser 1, which amassed 48 million views in 24 hours—surpassing Pushpa 2 (39.3M) and Dunki (36.8M). However, Teaser 2 witnessed a significant drop, garnering only 28 million views, raising concerns over the film’s momentum compared to other major Bollywood releases.

Beyond the numbers, the teaser’s content has sparked mixed reactions. Critics and fans alike have pointed out that Salman’s dialogue delivery lacks energy, while the background score fails to leave an impact. Many have also found the dialogues to be generic and lacking the mass appeal expected from a Salman Khan film. Rashmika Mandanna’s casting has also drawn divided opinions, with some questioning whether she fits the role.

Although the declining views and lukewarm reception pose challenges, it is not the end of the road for Sikandar. Unlike films such as Jawan and Pathaan, which gained traction with each promotional release, Sikandar seems to be losing its grip on audience anticipation.

The upcoming trailer will be a decisive moment for the film. With Eid 2025 as its release window, there is still time to rebuild excitement, but the makers need a stronger promotional push, an impactful trailer, and robust advance bookings to secure a grand opening. If not, Sikandar might struggle to meet expectations, dealing a setback to Salman Khan’s much-hyped comeback.
