Samata Sainik Dal activists held at Punjagutta

Hyderabad: Activists of Samata Sainik Dal were arrested for attempting to lay a siege in front of the camp office of the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Sunday. The activists took out a procession demanding that the State government reinstall Ambedkar statue that was demolished by it, at the same place. The police stopped the rally of he activists at Punjagutta and took them into preventive custody. Later, the activists were taken to Goshamahal stadium.

The fastidious activists continued their agitation at the Goshamahal stadium also. Speaking on the occasion, the activists said the Chief Minister would be remembered in history for not paying tributes to BR Ambedkar for the last two years. They also demanded that the State government take steps for the immediate reinstallation of Ambedkar statue at Punjagutta besides demanding fulfillment of the promise of the Chief Minister to erect a 125 feet high  Amedkar statue.
