Saudi Arabia Begins Transport Inspections Ahead of Haj Season

The Transport General Authority of Saudi Arabia has launched early inspection operations at key entry points to Makkah, Madinah, and surrounding holy sites in preparation for the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), more than 20 inspection teams have been deployed across these strategic locations. These teams are working around the clock to assist pilgrims and monitor transport operators for compliance with official regulations.

The Authority’s primary goal is to ensure a smooth, safe, and organized experience for all pilgrims entering the Kingdom’s holy cities. Authorities have instructed transport operators to adhere strictly to guidelines, which include using designated routes, holding proper operating licenses, and avoiding entry into restricted areas without authorization.
