As per the latest reports, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in Saudi Arabia is reportedly working on a national anti-discrimination policy to be adopted in the future. The aim is to ban all kinds of discrimination.
Anti-Discrimination Policy Is Reportedly In Last Phase
The Saudi Gazette said that the aim of the new anti-discrimination policy is to ensure that no form of discrimination is practiced across the country. An anonymous source reported that the policy is in the final phases of formulations and discussions. And it is yet to be approved soon.

The authorities assigned in the Kingdom have created a mechanism for giving the people space to report and further inspect the practices of discrimination at the workplaces. The new policy will also focus on gender discrimination in the monthly salaries of the people and the advertisement for the jobs.
Recently, the ministry encouraged gender equality about their rights to work without any kind of discrimination based on their gender. This came after someone made a query about a job profile that had a “men-only” feature in the job description. The ministry said that the advertisement violated Article 3 of the Labor Law.
The ministry is also planning to regulate the employment area by updating the rules regarding the work environment in the public and private sectors.
Human Rights Commissions Recommends Shariah Law Of Justice
Previously, the Human Rights Commissions (HRC) recommended changes in the laws of Saudi Arabia for criminalising racial discrimiatio. The new provisions will promote cultural tolerance and respect for human rights. The commission also encouraged the Islamic Shariah law that said that justice and equality should be the guiding principle of the rights and duties of the people.

Over the years, criminalising racial discrimination has also become an integral part of the changes being made in the laws of Saudi Arabia.
