Hyderabad: High Court today said that the case on AP Rayalaseema lift is being heard by the supreme court and NGT. The court denied to give a ruling in the issue and adjourned it until a direction cones from the apex court.
The court ruled out to stay or give judgment on the issue of two Telugu states being heard by the Supreme Court. The court heard for the second day the petition by Congress leader Vamshichand Reddy and social activist Srinivas seeking a stay on the AP project.
The Congress leader urged the court to stall the AP government from taking up the lift project as it causes loss to Telangana. He also asked the court to deal with the case as per the reorganization act.
It is a violation of the apex council and did not get permission he argued. The court said that it cannot intervene in the interstate matter of the Rayalaseema lift scheme of AP. The Supreme Court will take a call on the issue, the high court said.
The Supreme Court has resolved by directing on Rajasthan and Punjab water disputes. The petitioners can go to the Supreme Court the high court said.
