Section 144 Imposed Across Group-1 Exam Centres in Hyderabad to Ensure Smooth Conduct

Authorities have imposed Section 144 at all Group-1 exam centres in Hyderabad and surrounding districts from Monday to ensure the smooth and peaceful conduct of the examinations. The restrictions will be enforced at 46 exam centres across Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, and Medchal Malkajgiri districts as part of comprehensive security arrangements.

As per the official announcement, candidates arriving after 1:30 pm will not be allowed entry into the exam centres. However, differently-abled candidates will be granted an additional hour to complete their exams. In a bid to prevent malpractice and ensure transparency, CCTV cameras have been installed in all examination halls. Additionally, biometric attendance registration will be mandatory for all candidates appearing for the exam.

Around 31,383 candidates are expected to take the Group-1 Mains exams, marking a significant event in the state’s public service recruitment process. The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Chairman, Dr. M. Mahender Reddy, highlighted that these exams are being conducted after a long gap of 13 years—the last Mains examination for Group-1 was held in 2011.

Dr. Mahender Reddy emphasized the importance of the exams and urged officials to discharge their duties meticulously to ensure the examination process is conducted without any disruptions. He acknowledged that the task has become more challenging in the current social media era, where misconceptions and rumours can easily spread, and stressed the need for caution and vigilance.

Director General of Police (DGP) Jitender reassured the public that foolproof arrangements have been made at all examination centres. He said that all necessary steps have been taken to ensure the exams proceed peacefully and without incident. Security forces and exam staff are working together to maintain order and prevent any untoward incidents.

With such robust measures in place, the authorities are confident that the Group-1 exams will be conducted successfully, providing a fair and transparent process for all candidates.
