Hyderabad: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Tuesday arrested a section officer of Panchayat Raj & Rural Development E. Nagaraju for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 60,000 from the complainant.
In a pressnote here today, ACB director-general stated that accused E. Nagaraju, had allegedly demanded Rs 60,000 from G. Nagalaxmi of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district for processing the file of the complainant for appointment as an attender under compassionate grounds category in the Panchayat Raj Department.
After receiving a complaint, the ACB officials laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while accepting bribe. The ACB officials conducted a phenolphthalein test and took the accused into custody and seized the tainted money. Later, Nagaraju was produced before the Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases here. (NSS)
