Hyderabad: Rajesham Goud, Chairman and Chennaiah, Member, Telangana State Finance Commission have made a courtesy call with N.K. Singh, Chairman and Arvind Mehta, IAS., Member-Secretary XV Central Finance Commission this morning in the office of XV CFC in Jawahar Vyapar Bhavan, New Delhi.
They discussed about the devolution of funds and functions to rural and urban local bodies, particularly about the allocations to Mandal Praja Parishads and Zilla Praja Parishads. It was also discussed about the Interim report by the time Central Finance Commission visits the State of Telangana in October. The Kaleshwaram project specialties and useful importance also figured in the discussions. The State Finance Commission suggested that the CFC make a visit of the project at the earliest. (NSS)
