Close on the heels of other mandals, The Zilla Grandhalaya Samastha Rangareddy approved construction of a new Library Building at Shabad mandal with a cost of Rs.75 Lakhs during the general body meeting held today at District Central Library, Saroor Nagar.
During the meeting Chaired by Chairman Zilla Grandhalaya Samstha Rangareddy Kappati Pandu Rangareddy, several resolution placed before the committee that include setting up 50 container libraries in different high schools of the district this financial year, proposal seeking government’s nod for the recruitment of sufficient number of outsourcing staff in several libraries of the district etc.
During the meeting the district Panchayat Officer Srinivas Reddy was felicitated by the members for the help he extended in collecting library cess of Rs.2.00 from different Gram Panchayats in the district to make the Zilla Grandhalaya Samstha Rangareddy self reliant in making decisions.
It is said that 75 percent of the total Rs.2.00 crore library cess has been collected by the Panchayat Officer Srinivas Reddy that help Zilla Grandhalaya Samstha Rangareddy to come up with a fresh proposal seeking the nod from the government for recruitment of sufficient staff in several libraries where the it was necessitated.
DEO Susheendra Rao, DPO Sreenivas Reddy, DD. Adult Education Ganesh, Secretary Zilla Grandhalaya Samstha M.Manoj Kumar besides members Y. Anand Reddy and B.Sathya Narayana along with other staff were present on the occasion.
