New Delhi: AP SC, ST Commission chairman Karem Shivaji has demanded that the Centre take a decision in next Parliament session on the amendment of ST, SC Atrocities (Prevention) Act. If the Centre failed to take a decision, dharnas would be organised in front the residences of the Union ministers, he warned.
A TDP delegation today met President Ramnath Kovind and submitted a memorandum on the increasing attacks and atrocities on the STs and SCs. They urged the President reconsider the ST, SC Atrocities Act. AP ST, SC Finance Corporation chairman Jupudi Prabhakar, who was also a member of the delegation, said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has support of the Dalits.(NSS)
