Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Minister, Jupally Krishna Rao today said that “Shrama Danam” program will be launched from August 15 to keep the villages clean across the State on August 15 to mark Independence Day. Aim of “Shrama Danam” is to keep the rural pockets clean to create a healthy environment he told reporters at Kollapur.
Krishna Rao also said that as per directive of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao the program to cleanse up the villages will be started on a mission mode. The cleaning drive will be started at 8 am and continue till 2 pm and clean environs will keep us healthy he said. We can create a healthy and favourable environment only by taking up cleanse drive on a regular basis he said. Krishna Rao said that a “Healthy Telangana” will pave for a “Golden Telangana” with active participation by people. He exhorted the local leaders, students and youth to come forward to clean their villages to keep at bay the diseases. We are supposed to keep our state clean and voluntary turn up of the people and youth will prove handy, he opined. (NSS)
