In Secunderabad, the Shree Jagannath Yatra will take place on July 1, announced the Shree Jagannath Swamy Ramgopal Trust, which organizes Rath Yatras every year alongside Jagannath Puri’s Rath Yatra.
For 130 years, the Trust has conducted the Rath Yatra at Jagannath Swamy Temple in General Bazaar, Secunderabad. The Rath Yatra will take place usually this year, after being canceled due to the Covid Pandemic in the preceding two years.
From 6.30 am to 1 pm, the temple gates will be open to visitors for Darshan. At 4 pm, the Rath Yatra will depart from the temple and pass through General Bazar, M.G.Road, Hill street, and Ranigunj before returning to the temple at 3 am.

Telangana gears up to celebrate Bonalu
Telangana and its capital Hyderabad are gearing up for the state festival Bonalu with elaborate arrangements and Rs 15 crore allocated. The month-long festival starts on June 30 at Golconda fort and culminates on July 24.
The festival celebrates Golconda Bonalu at Jagadamba temple on June 30, Secunderabad Bonalu at Ujjaini Mahakali temple on July 17, and Hyderabad Bonalu at the Lal Darwaza Simhavahini Mahankali temple on July 24. Across the city, hundreds of smaller temples also celebrate the festival.
In a review of the progress of the festival at the fort, minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the festival will begin with the state offering a pattu cheera (silk saree) to the Jagadamba temple, which is located on the grounds of the fort. After the creation of a separate Telangana state in 2014, the Bonalu festival became a state festival.
