Kurnool: In a shocking revelation, six family members of Kurnool MP Dr. Sanjeev Kumar has been tested positive to deadly COVID-19 virus. The MP himself revealed this while addressing media persons in the city. He said that his father, brother, and four other family members from Narsingraopeta of the district had tested positive for the virus.
He said that all his family members were being treated at Kurnool district hospital, which was designated as State COVID-19 hospital. He also revealed that his family members were responding well to the treatment being provided to them at the hospital. The MP also said that the state government had provided all facilities at the hospital for the treatment of the corona positive patients. Referring to the media reports that the people of Kurnool district were concerned about the growing number of corona virus-positive cases, Kumar said that there was nothing to worry about it.
He said that more deaths were taking place in counties like the US and Spain due to the virus. He said that the Indians would have immunity as they already have immunity in their bodies she to BCG vaccine unlike the people of foreign countries. Commenting on the ongoing lockdown restrictions, he opined that the restrictions could be withdrawn in a phased manner in the state.
