Hyderabad: A software engineer Rupini committed suicide by hanging herself to a fan. She reportedly took to the extreme step due to her in-laws’ harassment for additional dowry.
According to police, Rupini got married five months ago. She got married Sandeep after their love for some time. Sandeep was a gym trainer. Rupini original name was Pushpalatha and she belongs to Eluru. The elders were also accepted their love as they belonged to the same caste and same region. Sandeep and Pushpalatha were living in Hyderabad for the last five months. Rupini was working with a software company and Sandeep was working as a gym trainer.
Four months after getting married, Sandeep started harassing Rupini for additional dowry. Rupini informed the same to her parents. Her father Muralikrishna came to their home located In Chitrapuri Colony in Hyderabad. He left for Eluru after convincing her son-in-law that he will give her share of assets. But the in-laws and her husband didn’t stop the harassment. The friction was taking place between wife and husband since Saturday night. Disgusted Pushpalatha with her husband’s attitude, she took extreme steps as she was not in a position to convey the same again to her parents as she indulged in love marriage and committed suicide on Sunday morning.
