Telangana is likely to experience a further delay in the entry of the southwest monsoon. A weak sea wind in Arabia and the Bay of Bengal has slowed down the monsoon, according to the Hyderabad Meteorological Department.
Due to the lack of winds, the moisture in the oceans does not reach the land, and it is predicted that the winds will intensify in two to three days, allowing the monsoon to enter Telangana. Telangana is likely to experience the southwest monsoon by June 12. As the southwest monsoon has been delayed, temperatures have risen in the state.
Twenty-two districts experienced temperatures above 40 degrees on Wednesday, while five districts experienced temperatures above 39 degrees, three districts experienced temperatures above 38 degrees, and two districts experienced temperatures above 38 degrees. A temperature of 45.2 degrees was recorded at Jainath, Adilabad district, during the day. Adilabad, Komurambheem, Asifabad and Mancherial districts were warned of hailstorms on Thursday. 16 districts in the state have experienced light rain over the past 24 hours. There was a 3.80-centimetre rainfall in Narayanpet district and a 2.98-centimetre rainfall in Mogalamadka district.

In the state, the monsoon is expected to be above normal, according to IMD officials. Current models suggest the state will see monsoon from 12. As a result of the unusual timing of this year’s monsoon, India’s monsoon commenced on May 29, three days ahead of the normal June 1 date. However, Telangana’s monsoon did not come early because of that. An official from the Hyderabad Met Office said that the monsoon arrived last year on June 7.
It is expected that the season will be characterized by one or two intense flooding episodes due to low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, as has been the case for the last few years, said Mahesh Palawat, vice-president for meteorology and climate change at Skymet. This month, however, the rain will be patchy, with no prolonged spells.
