Hyderabad: Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on Sunday declared Congress MLA Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka as Leader of the Opposition in the House. He also said the Congress would be the main Opposition political party in the State. Following this, the Leader of the House and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao congratulated Vikramarka for becoming the Leader of the Opposition in the House.
The speaker also declared that AIMIM party MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi would act as floor leader of the party in the House. Earlier, the Telugu Desam party (TDP) MLA from Sattupally Sandra Venkata Veeraiah took oath as soon as the House began. The Speaker administered the oath to the TDP MLA. (NSS)
